Donate

With this day in age, we get bombarded by the demands of the world more than ever before. We’re called to action daily in our work, in our lives and in our words…. but who will answer the call of philanthropy?

You will.

By donating time and money or setting up a planned giving approach with Equity Foundation, you are directly influencing the fight to end discrimination, harassment, and inequality to marginalized communities.

You can donate in the following ways….

  • Donate through your workplace giving campaign
  • Begin a Donor Advised Fund
  • Earmark your planned giving approach to go to Equity Foundation
  • Donate money to the foundation to continue granting funds
  • Donate your car by following the directions on this form

Need a tax deduction?  Getting rid of your vehicle?

Then, donate your vehicle to Equity Foundation.  Do it before the end of the year so you can deduct it from your 2010 taxes.  If your business is getting rid of a fleet, then the business can also take advantage of this tax deduction while simultaneously supporting Equity Foundation.

With the assistance of Volunteers of America Oregon (VOA), Equity Foundation now accepts donations of used cars. VOA makes it easy for you.  They take care of everything, including selling the vehicle and towing it. You, the donor, receive tax advantages for 100% of what the vehicle sells for, and we receive 60% of the cash. Additionally, qualified donors will be sent a $30 gift certificate to any McMenamin’s Restaurant. To find out more about this program, click here: http://www.charity-connections.org/faq.html.

To donate your vehicle online, fill out this online form and designate Equity Foundation as the beneficiary. Otherwise, download and fill out this form Equity Vehicle Donation Program.

Legacy Society

Are you a member of Equity Foundation’s Legacy Society?  It’s easy to join.  Legacy Society members are individuals or couples that have designated Equity Foundation in their wills or estate plans as receiving money, stock, property, or a portion of the sale of estate.  A bequest to Equity Foundation will qualify your estate for a charitable deduction equal to the entire amount you bequeath.

In addition to lessening the tax burden of your estate after your passing, a bequest honors your legacy and ensures that Equity Foundation can continue to build communities throughout Oregon that advance the dignity and worth of all people and grant funds to organizations that work to eradicate prejudice against gender and sexual minorities and people from other diverse communities well into the future.

Your bequest large and small will leave a legacy of a better Oregon for future generations.  If you have designated Equity Foundation in your will or estate plan and would like to be listed as a Legacy Society member, please notify the foundation.  If you would like more information about joining Equity Foundation’s Legacy Society, please contact Peter Cunningham, Executive Director at 503-231-5759 ext 202 or peterc@equityfoundation.org.

Benefits of joining Equity Foundation’s Legacy Society:
*Fostering a better Oregon for future generations

*Listed on website and in print materials as a member
*Included on a plaque in the Equity Foundation office
*Lessening the tax-burden of your estate after your passing
