Workplace Giving

If you work for one of the workplaces listed below, you can give to either Equity Foundation or to one of these charities via payroll deduction through Equity Foundation.  It’s easy to do!  Pledge through your workplace’s employee giving campaign during the fall and your designated amount will be deducted from each paycheck during the next calendar year–public retirees can can also pledge through PERS.  Just a small amount each paycheck can add up to some big change at the end of the year.  Plus, it’s tax deductible!

You can pledge if you work for one of these workplaces: State of Oregon, Axium, Benton County, City of Portland, Combined Federal Campaign (#75952), Energy Trust of Oregon, Gales Creek, IBM, Kaiser-Permanente, Metro, Morrison Family Services, Multnomah County, OHSU, Port of Portland, Portland Public Schools, Raphael House, TriMet, United Way of the Columbia Willamette Donor Choice Program, The Standard, and Wells Fargo.

Equity Foundation’s participation in multiple Workplace Giving Campaigns is an easy and helpful way to inspire philanthropy and provide an additional source of funds for our grantees all over the state, while also raising awareness and demonstrating support for diversity. If you are an employee at one of the various workplaces, please consider signing up to make easy payroll deductions during the campaigns and encourage others to do the same. You can either designate solely to Equity Foundation or you can designate to one of our grantees.

Are you an organization that wants to be on our list of approved organizations?

Since Equity Foundation is a fund, an organization must apply for and receive a General Cycle Grant at Equity Foundation during the previous fiscal year to be guaranteed inclusion in the approved list of grantees in workplace giving campaigns.  While most funds only include their most current General Cycle Grantees, Equity Foundation is pleased to offer additional organizations in our campaigns.  If an organization has not applied for and/or did not receive a General Cycle Grant, then that organization is evaluated using several criteria.  This evaluation ensures that organizations approved to participate in Equity Foundation’s workplace giving program adhere to the mission and vision of the foundation.  Additionally, the evaluation remains community driven by incorporating input from the community via both the Regional Granting Committees and Donor Advised Funds.  Equity Foundation is pleased to provide the largest list among the funds and federations of organizations to which employees can designate!

If you would like to see a specific organization appear on Equity Foundation’s list of approved organizations, please encourage that organization to apply for a general cycle grant at Equity Foundation.
