Thank you to everyone who joined us in honoring Kurt Beadell, Fire Chief Erin Janssens, Paul Southwick, and Jayce Marcus at the 2014 Equity Awards, held on November 8th at the University Club of Portland.
Because of the generosity of our supporters, we raised over $50,000 for Equity. These funds will help us support organizations working on LGBTQ issues across Oregon. There is no other foundation in the state dedicated to providing support to small organizations focused on the work of LGBTQ equality, and our donors make it possible.
We would also like to thank the Portland Gay Straight Alliance Youth Chorus for honoring us with a performance. The chorus was awarded a grant by Equity this year to support their efforts to provide a safe and welcoming place for LGBTQ youth.
