Equity Foundation is now accepting scholarship applications for the 2016-2017 school year. We offer scholarships for students who are LGBTQ, children of LGBTQ parents, and students actively working to advance LGBTQ equality. Applicants must be residents of Oregon or SW Washington and in need of financial assistance for their education to be eligible.
Equity is proud to host some of Oregon’s longest standing scholarships. Our scholarship program is supported by members of the LGBTQ and allied community who are committed to assisting students of all ages fund their education. Our scholarships support students with a variety of interests and backgrounds, such as activists working to advance LGBTQ rights, students majoring in fine arts and humanities, and LGBTQ adults who have gone back to school.

Neil Panchmatia
Recipient of the Jessica Dolin Memorial Scholarship
“Receiving this scholarship was much-needed for me. It not only provides vital financial support to students such as myself, struggling with rising educational costs, but is also a strong statement of support and confidence. This scholarship was an acknowledgement to me from my own community that I am on the right path, doing the right thing as a scholar and activist and further motivates me to continue working towards giving back to the community.”

“The scholarships that I received will not only lighten my financial burden, but also strengthen my motivation to someday offer prime services to low-income families. The opportunity to be a recipient means that I can hopefully inspire others and prove how sexual orientation should not be a strain if we are willing to chase after our dreams.”
We are excited to support more students like Neil and Leslie who are committed to advancing LGBTQ equality. Applications for the majority of our scholarship funds are due Friday, June 10th.
