Equity Foundation is now accepting applications for our 2015 Grants Cycle. Equity makes grants to organizations that benefit the LGBTQ community in Oregon and SW Washington and will accept proposals from organizations working in all areas of the LGBTQ movement. For our general cycle grants, we will prioritize on grantmaking to four key areas: arts as a tool for social change, community engagement, LGBTQ youth, and transgender justice.

This year, Equity will only consider general cycle proposals from organizations with annual operating budgets under $500,000. This allows us to focus our funding on small, emerging and underfunded organizations working for LGBTQ equality. We are proudly a community foundation and gifts from donors and members fund our general cycle grant program. By directing those resources to smaller organizations, those dollars can have the greatest possible impact on our state’s LGBTQ community.

Organizations that provide housing and supportive services for people living with HIV and AIDS are eligible to apply for grants from the Paul D. Higgins Fund, which has no budget requirement.

Our members are invited to participate in our grantmaking process by weighing in on which organizations we fund during our grants cycle. Not a member yet? You can join for as little as $10 a month.

Grant applications are due May 1, 2015. Click here for information on how to apply.
