Equity Foundation is proud to announce a new scholarship for our 2016-2017 scholarship cycle: the Davis Wright Tremaine Equity Scholarship.
The Davis Wright Tremaine Equity Scholarship is funded by a generous gift from the law firm of Davis Wright Tremaine. Davis Wright Tremaine believes in the importance of growing diversity in the legal profession and in the Portland area in particular. To support that goal, the Portland office of Davis Wright Tremaine is partnering with Equity Foundation to offer one $5,000 scholarship this year to an incoming law student.
Criteria of Eligibility
To be eligible, a candidate must:
- Identify as a member of the LGBTQ community
- Be a resident of Oregon (must have lived in Oregon for more than one year)
- Be an incoming first year student pursuing a juris doctorate at an ABA accredited law school
- Demonstrate the intent to practice law in Oregon after graduating law school
How to Apply
