Heroes of HIV

December 1, 2014 is World AIDS Day, held each year for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, support those living with HIV or AIDS, and acknowledge those we have lost. Around the globe, 35 million people are living with HIV, including 2.1 million new HIV infections according to the World Health Organization.

On this year’s World AIDS Day you can join Cascade AIDS Project in acknowledging and celebrating the individuals and organizations who have played crucial roles in the fight against HIV at their Heroes of HIV Luncheon. CAP will honor Nike, Dr. Louis of Oregon Health & Science University, and Kevin Cook for their involvement in HIV/AIDS research, education, and advocacy.
